Must:
- Extensive experience within an MSP or IT Solutions Provider environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a logical, methodical approach
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop OS environments
- Experience with server migrations and Microsoft 365 deployments
- Solid understanding of Azure AD, Exchange (on-prem & M365) and PowerShell
- Experience supporting virtualised environments
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle with business insurance
- VMware ESXi / vSphere / Veeam (desirable)
- HP ProLiant servers, storage and RAID (desirable)
- NAS & storage solutions (Synology / QNAP, iSCSI) (desirable)
- Firewall & router configuration (ZyXEL, DrayTek, pfSense, OPNsense) (desirable)
- Managed switches (L2/L3), VLANs, LACP, QoS (desirable)
- Trend Micro / Sophos / Defender security solutions (desirable)
- Backup platforms (Acronis, Barracuda, Redstor, Windows Backup) (desirable)
- VoIP / SIP systems (Avaya, Wildix, Teams) (desirable)
- Linux hosting environments (Debian, Apache, MariaDB) (desirable)
- MFA, security awareness platforms and compliance standards (desirable)
- Apple & Android device support (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Provide 2ndβ3rd line technical support to business customers
- Diagnose and resolve issues at OS, application, server and network level
- Deliver remote and on-site support to client premises when required
- Perform server upgrades, migrations and transitions to Microsoft 365
- Support Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Assist with hardware installations, repairs and replacements
- Participate in planned migrations, upgrades and project work
- Communicate confidently with end users and stakeholders at director level
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow best-practice processes
- Take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota (low call volume)
