Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience leading IT operations or digital learning in educational or complex settings.
- Strong technical knowledge in networks, servers, cloud, cybersecurity, and educational technology.
- Experience in implementing or supporting a whole-school digital learning strategy.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists.
- Project and budget management experience.
*Desirable:*
- Experience in independent schools.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with MIS (iSAMS, Arbor) and VLEs (Firefly, Google Classroom).
- Professional IT qualifications (CompTIA, MCSE, ITIL, PRINCE2).
- Teaching qualification or experience in supporting teaching staff.
- Knowledge of e-safety, digital citizenship, and online safeguarding.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a digital strategy aligned with educational goals.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies in teaching and learning.
- Lead digital transformation projects and technology integration.
- Promote innovation while ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and safeguarding.
- Oversee the management of servers, networks, Wi-Fi, classroom technology, AV, and security systems.
- Ensure that business continuity and disaster recovery plans are regularly tested.
- Support staff in enhancing digital literacy and blended learning.
- Lead training, mentoring, and professional development on digital tools.
- Lead and develop the IT support team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage IT and digital learning budgets efficiently, ensuring value and sustainability.
