We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as the Head of ICT & Data Security. You should have extensive experience managing a multi-disciplinary technical or IT security team. A strong understanding of information security, data protection, and compliance is essential. Additionally, you need robust technical knowledge of networks, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Experience in managing risk assessments, incident response, and security operations is required, along with excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Desirable qualifications include certifications such as CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or ITIL. Familiarity with frameworks like PSN, PCI-DSS, NHS DSP Toolkit, or CAF, as well as an understanding of insurance laws and governance, would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
As the Head of ICT & Data Security, my main duties will include leading the development and implementation of IT and information security policies and controls. I will oversee the cyber security posture, risk management, and incident response. I will also manage compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information (FOI), and Subject Access Requests (SARs).
Monitoring and improving our network and server infrastructure (both on-premise and cloud) will be part of my role, as well as promoting cyber awareness and best practices across the organization. I will ensure the successful completion of security audits and certifications (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, PSN, PCI-DSS) and manage the corporate insurance service in collaboration with governance officers and external partners. Building strong working relationships with internal teams, senior managers, and external regulators such as the ICO will be crucial to my responsibilities.
