Requirements
Must:
- Degree in IT or a closely related subject
- Minimum 2 years experience on an IT Helpdesk with strong customer service focus
- Understanding of PC builds, rebuilds, and configuration
- Familiarity with Microsoft products and PC hardware setup
- Strong communication skills - clear, helpful, and user-friendly
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Logical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Willingness to take initiative and responsibility
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
- (Desirable) Microsoft certification (e.g., MTA, MCP, or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Provide responsive support to users via phone, email, and in person
- Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop issues, including off-site repairs
- Build, configure, and test workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support remote users with mobile connectivity and VPN access
- Manage new starter setups and leaver procedures
- Ensure backups of laptops, desktops, and personal folders are maintained
- Deploy and maintain Group Standard Operating Environments using Windows Deployment Server
- Assist with LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity troubleshooting
- Update and maintain the IT asset register
- Document IT processes and create clear user guides
- Administer and repair mobile communication devices
- Support IT equipment purchasing during staff holidays
- Uphold Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in all work
- Keep workspaces clean, organised, and secure
