Requirements

Must:
- I am looking for candidates who have experience with MSSQL, MYSQL, and Postgres database platforms, including up-to-date certifications. - I require knowledge of managing databases in cloud-native environments such as AWS and Azure. - Candidates should have a good working knowledge of Transact SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, security models, and SQL diagnostic tools. - I expect proficiency in automating, monitoring, and managing databases and deployments using various toolsets. - A working knowledge of Windows and Linux clustering is essential. - Candidates must either be NPPV3 cleared or capable of undergoing and passing the certification and should also have UK CRB/DBS clearance. - I value a positive mindset, collaborative spirit, customer focus, and the enthusiasm to learn new technologies and trends.

Responsibilities

- I support MSSQL, MYSQL, and Postgres Database platforms, which includes troubleshooting, monitoring, optimization/tuning of system performance, database migration, security, and reporting. - I ensure on-call support for fourth-line support on a 24/7 rotational basis. - I automate all support activities, including backups, patching, and script deployments. - I guide customers towards cloud technologies, PaaS data platforms, and other cloud-native data services. - I am responsible for ensuring the storage, processing, and quality of customer data. - I deliver large-scale data migration and/or modernization projects. - I support and manage the environments of key strategic customers. - I shadow and mentor other engineers to help them resolve complex support issues. - I engage with key customer stakeholders in technical, pre-sales, and commercial conversations. - I deliver workshops (either standard or bespoke) to customers. - I produce new written technical content for external use by our customers and present content to a mixed-skilled audience.

- In my collaborative work environment, I team up with Customer Experience and Managed Services to ensure we consistently provide the best service to customers while integrating their feedback into our future portfolio and propositions. - I collaborate with the Customer Success and Growth team to ensure our portfolio meets customer needs and enables cross and up-selling opportunities, agreeing on the portfolio mix, volumes, and targets for alignment. - I contribute to the budget process for portfolio and proposition development in conjunction with the finance team. - Additionally, I support recruitment and learning and development strategies together with the HR team to develop industry-leading product and service offerings.
