Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates with proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer, who are adaptable and creative in their approach.
- I require a strong background in software development, specifically with C# and C++.
- You should have the ability to lead a small development team and advance simulation environments.
- Robust problem-solving skills and an open approach to software design are essential.
- Exposure to real-time software development and simulation standards (DIS, HLA) would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- In this hands-on role, you will work closely with Project Leads, Simulation Architects, and the wider project team.
- Your main responsibility will be to lead the development of synthetic environments using the C family of programming languages while combining technical leadership with project management and team guidance.
- You will have the opportunity to grow your skills and support the full development lifecycle.
- You will develop a broad systems engineering perspective and drive technical innovation.
- You will be engaged in working on world-leading defence systems from initial concepts to in-service support and utilise advanced visualisation techniques (AR/VR) and demonstrations.
- As part of our team, you will contribute to driving experimentation and developing new capabilities for domestic and international customers.
