Requirements
Must:
- Development background with at least 3 years experience of designing, developing and delivering bespoke business applications
- Prior VisualFiles development experience and knowledge of Legal workflows
- Commercial awareness and inquisitiveness to understand the challenges faced by the firm and its clients
- Ability to quickly identify projects that may be at risk, communicating early to manage expectations
- Innovative mind-set, willingness to experiment and explore new ways of delivering technology solutions
- Develop applications with security in mind, protecting data at all times
- Desirable skills include C#, VB, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS
- Willingness to learn new methods and techniques
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing business solutions that interface with the line of business applications as well as customizing and configuring off-the-shelf software
- Develop the case management system to ensure continual optimization of business efficiency and procedures
- Support the integration of VisualFiles with other firm-wide packages including the practice management system
- Propose, design, and implement new and innovative systems and analyze existing systems for opportunities in streamlining and performance enhancement
- Assist with business process analysis to enhance and develop workflow processes when required
- Work closely with the Projects team to map out projects
- Build process improvement workflows across the application stack and assist others in integrating workflows into line of business applications
- Design data structures and access methods to support any custom development
