Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer with the following essential skills and experience:
- At least 2 years in security platform management (SIEM, SOAR).
- Expertise in enterprise-level monitoring and supporting large user bases (around 10,000 users).
- Experience in creating and managing security playbooks and an understanding of public sector standards.
- Proficiency in XSIAM correlation/playbooks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience with Cortex XDR, Cortex Data Lake, and Cortex XSOAR.
- A solid understanding of cloud security, network/system security fundamentals, and scripting for automation.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Security Engineer, I will expect you to join the Monitoring and Integration Platform (MIP) team within our Technology Services. You will be responsible for maintaining all infrastructure, end user computing, onsite support, and the delivery of technology projects for our extensive network of 95,000 devices across 900 sites. Additionally, you will deliver on the initial phase of the security monitoring project by onboarding critical services that will be proactively monitored by the in-house Security Operations Centre (SOC).
Description
This is a hybrid role operating from our central London office, with a preference for candidates who can commit to working on-site for 1-2 days a week. The contract duration is until December 2025, with the possibility of extension and it operates inside IR35, thus requiring an Umbrella solution.
