Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in a 2nd/3rd line support role within an MSP environment. You should possess strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware. A solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) is essential, along with familiarity with backup solutions, RMM tools, and IT security practices. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required, and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Azure Fundamentals) will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver 2nd/3rd line support across client systems, both remotely and onsite. You will administer and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. Additionally, you'll configure and manage virtualized environments, perform server patching, system updates, and software rollouts. Supporting LAN/WAN setups, VPNs, and network infrastructure will be part of your daily tasks. You will maintain IT security, backups, and disaster recovery solutions, assist with infrastructure upgrades and new tech implementations, and ensure accurate technical documentation and asset records are maintained. Furthermore, you'll provide guidance on cybersecurity and IT best practices.
