Requirements
Must:
- Experience in a similar senior IT role, such as Head of IT, Head of IT Ops, IT Operations Manager, or Senior IT Infrastructure Manager.
- Hands-on operational senior IT experience in AWS, Cisco, and Microsoft infrastructure.
- Ability to manage and develop cross-functional IT teams.
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure and IT operations management.
- Experience managing global teams is a bonus.
- Ability to implement and lead large-scale IT projects.
- A background in IT security is a plus.
- Experience working in a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage day-to-day IT operations, maintaining high standards of IT service delivery, and safeguarding IT infrastructure.
- Drive innovation in a cloud-based infrastructure using AWS while working on a global scale.
- Execute and oversee IT operations in alignment with company goals, ensuring effective and timely delivery of IT projects in an AWS cloud environment.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals in IT infrastructure, networking, IT security, and applications, supporting the overall defined IT strategy.
- Ensure IT operates efficiently, providing outstanding support to all staff across multiple global offices.
- Oversee the delivery of IT services within AWS, Microsoft, and Cisco environments, ensuring they meet business needs and comply with established SLAs.
- Lead IT infrastructure initiatives, including IT security to ensure robust and reliable systems across the organization.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to understand and address urgent IT needs, developing a robust IT strategy moving forward.
Description
We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Manager to join our brand-new global role in Manchester. This position requires strong operational IT experience, particularly in IT infrastructure and cloud-based applications in AWS. We need someone who is technically sound, capable of challenging existing standards and improving our IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on role, suited for a candidate who enjoys diving into projects when needed. Our ideal candidate will be part of a flexible IT operations environment and adapt to change as necessary. The career path for this position is to grow into the Global Head of IT, contributing to something special in our new Manchester office and UK headquarters. We have an IT strategy that is already approved and in action. Your role will support the CTO in implementing this vision on a global scale. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 5 and will play a key role in building our IT team in the UK and abroad in the future. We offer a starting salary between £65,000 - £75,000 along with excellent benefits.
