Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.
- Experience leading a team of developers.

- Familiarity with BigCommerce and Bloomreach platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of fulfillment and warehouse operations is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable backend solutions using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and drive project timelines.
- Mentor and coach developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.
- Act as a technical liaison between backend development and other departments, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, advocating for the adoption of new tools and methodologies where applicable.
Description
We are a well-established retail company at the forefront of innovation in e-commerce solutions, and we are looking to build our development team as we continue to expand. We are seeking a talented Lead Developer to join our team and drive our backend development efforts. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings, ideally one day per month required in our office near Bradford. As a Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, development, and maintenance of our backend systems, actively participating in large integration and migration projects on AWS. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in development (approximately 70% of the role) while dedicating the rest of the time to team management, code reviews, and serving as the primary technical point of contact within the backend team.
