Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer with a solid working knowledge of the following:
- Windows OS 10-11
- Windows Server 2016
- Office 365/Exchange
- Active Directory
- Networking (DNS/DHCP, VLANs, TCP/IP)
- Azure/EntraID
Additionally, you should possess strong communication and customer service skills. A full UK driver’s license is essential. Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment and familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware/Hyper-V, as well as PowerShell scripting, would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide 2nd line support for all customers via phone, email, or face-to-face interactions.
- Act as an escalation point for 1st line colleagues.
- Perform in-depth diagnosis and escalate to 3rd line support when necessary.
- Log all incidents and requests within our service desk work management system.
- Manage, prioritize, and plan your own work queue while dealing with calls within the set Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and drive opportunities for improvement/change through our Service Improvement initiatives.

We are a growing IT Managed Services Provider based in Manchester, with a close-knit team of 10, predominantly comprised of technical staff.
