Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with a degree or significant experience in Computing & IT, Software Engineering, or Mathematics. The following skills are essential for this role:
- Software Development (.NET C#)
- SQL Database servers (MSSQL)
Additionally, it would be advantageous if you have experience in:
- Software development (C++, MVC for Web Development, Video Management Systems)
- Microsoft Windows Server Operating System
- SQL Database servers (Firebird, MySQL, SQLite)
- Security technologies (SSH, SSL, HTTPS, AES)
We welcome applications from Senior Developers who are within commutable distance to our Blackburn headquarters, including Manchester, Preston, Burnley, Blackpool, Clitheroe, Bolton, and Chorley.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be joining an experienced development team to enhance and support our existing software while developing innovative applications. My responsibilities will include:
- Conducting fault finding, testing, and witness testing for both new and existing programs to ensure high quality and performance.
- Assisting in the creation of test plans and participating in client-witnessed testing to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborating with installation and commissioning teams to ensure a smooth handover of released software.
- Ensuring that all developed software is secure and effectively protects the personal data of our customers.
- Providing guidance and insights to developers with varying experience levels as a key senior member of the team.
- Being prepared to travel within the UK, EU, or US to perform customer demonstrations or assist in delivering systems. Travel arrangements will be provided, and I will need a driving license, passport, and confidence in traveling alone.
