Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in GCP architecture
- Proven cloud migration experience
- Documentation and process creation experience
- Experience working with a wide range of senior stakeholders
- Must be UK based and have the full right to work in the UK
Desirable skills:
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments (GCP/Azure/AWS)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Responsibilities
- Establish best practices for GCP adoption, including security, cost management, and governance
- Ensure the integration of GCP services with Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex GCP-related incidents (3rd/4th line support)
- Assist the IT Ops team with troubleshooting cloud-related performance and security issues
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all cloud-related services

At Chroma, we are working exclusively with one of the UK's leading providers of specialist services to the Construction and Facilities Management sector. We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer with GCP expertise to join our collaborative team. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £70K, along with primarily remote working options. Our company is in a growth stage with over 2,500 employees and offices across the UK. As the Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the migration to GCP, acting as a technical authority on the subject, and ensuring seamless integration within our hybrid IT landscape. This role is integral to our success, and we are eager to find the right candidate to help us advance our IT infrastructure.
