Requirements
Must:
- Working experience with or certifications in Snowflake
- At least 3 years of experience working with Azure data products
- At least 1 year in a lead or senior data engineering position
- Leadership/mentoring experience
- MS SQL expertise (querying, transforming, and managing datasets)
- Competency in Python
- Proficiency in version control tools (ideally Git)
- Experience in an Agile environment
Responsibilities
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will join our newly established team tasked with enabling us to unlock the value of our data. Your main responsibilities will include building scalable and reliable data pipelines to power analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making. You will have the opportunity to utilize cutting-edge data tools to design and implement robust data solutions.

Chroma is currently collaborating with a prominent high street retailer that is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our growing team in Manchester. We offer a competitive salary of up to £90K, along with excellent benefits and a hybrid working model (3 days per week on-site).
