Requirements
Must:
- I have at least 8 years of experience managing and leading experienced engineers.
- I have worked in a fast-paced environment and have a strong infrastructure pedigree with a minimum of 4 years delivering Azure projects.
- I possess solid experience in implementing solutions within medium to large-scale businesses, particularly in enterprise scale networking and servers (300/400).
- Bonus skills and experience in SCCM, Cisco Meraki/Umbrella, Mimecast/OPTA, and Palo Alto or similar firewalls are valued.
Responsibilities
- I will manage projects and provide regular reporting on progress.
- I will work alongside my team, getting involved in hands-on tasks and supporting them directly.
- I will build and create structure and processes that help the team operate effectively.
Description
I am offering an interim Head of Infrastructure position on a 6-month contract, with a competitive rate of up to £620 per day inside IR35. The role requires me to be on-site 3 days a week in central Manchester, and I am looking for a dynamic, hands-on technical manager with Azure experience to lead a small team of up to eight, including three direct reports. My business has recently insourced its IT and is currently developing our Azure estate from the ground up while replacing the entirety of our IT infrastructure. Having a comprehensive understanding of technologies like Azure IaaS & PaaS, Microsoft 365, Palo Alto & Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Umbrella, Mimecast, and Cisco Meraki is essential. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a technical leadership position while also mentoring a team to achieve excellence in both daily activities and project initiatives.
