Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar IT Support role
- 2:1 grade in Computer Science/Software Development or equivalent degree
- Competent SQL skills
- Technical/Functional knowledge of Maximo MAS and/or earlier versions
- IT literacy with knowledge of multiple operating systems and VMWare
- Experience establishing customer-focused relationships
- Familiarity with Development Lifecycles (e.g. V-Lifecycle, ITIL3)
- Experience with BIRT reporting tool (preferred)
- Application server experience (WebSphere/Weblogic) (preferred)
- Experience with enterprise database systems such as MSSQL, Oracle, and DB2 (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Respond to client requests for support in a timely and professional manner, adhering to client SLAs
- Record all work accurately in tickets and timesheets
- Employ effective Root Cause Analysis techniques when troubleshooting incidents and problems
- Keep clients updated on the progress of their support requests
- Escalate requests to Senior Technician colleagues when necessary
- Ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and documented before release to clients
- Manage client environments and ensure they are kept up to date following releases
- Manage the change and release process, producing associated documentation
- Lead or participate in deployment outages
- Liaise effectively with Support and Delivery team colleagues
- Analyze and tune Maximo SQL queries to ensure optimal system performance
- Participate in the Out of Hours on-call support rota
