Requirements
Must:
- Proven background as QA Lead / Test Lead / Senior Tester in Agile teams
- Strong manual testing skills across complex, multi-step business workflows
- Experience mentoring/guiding other testers and raising quality standards
- Solid knowledge of test design, defect management, and release readiness
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- (Nice to have) Experience testing workflow-driven platforms (e.g., CRM, ERP, case/claims-style or other configurable process-heavy systems)
- (Nice to have) Exposure to test management and reporting tooling beyond Jira (e.g., Zephyr, Xray, TestRail)
Responsibilities
- Define and implement test strategies, processes, and quality standards across key systems
- Lead and mentor a small QA team (coaching, reviews, upskilling)
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases and regression packs
- Manage defect tracking and triage (Jira) and drive clear, actionable feedback
- Perform hands-on manual testing for new features, integrations, and releases
- Partner with developers, product managers and delivery to embed quality throughout sprints and releases
- Identify opportunities to increase coverage, reduce cycle time, and improve consistency via sensible tooling and practices
Description
We are Charles Simon Associates, seeking a QA Test Lead to establish and mature an internal testing capability across several business-critical platforms. This remote role, based in the UK, offers a salary of up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience.
