Requirements

Must:
- Deep experience in software delivery management, technical program management, or engineering operations. - Expertise in running agile sprints, managing releases, and enforcing execution discipline. - Strong ability to translate abstract research work into production-ready pipelines. - Strong systems thinking across ML/AI workflows, backend engineering, and productionisation. - Exceptional communication and organisational leadership skills. - Familiarity with ML development workflows, data pipelines, or ML Ops. - Understanding of cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure). - Knowledge of versioning, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools. - Basic understanding of LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, or model-serving environments. - Experience in a research-heavy or early-stage tech team that ships quickly.

Responsibilities

- Establish a weekly release cycle with clear acceptance criteria and production readiness checks. - Run daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retros, and blocker escalation. - Ensure every engineer is prepared for releases and working toward measurable commitments. - Break down ambiguous research tasks into concrete, shippable engineering deliverables. - Enforce engineering workflows (Jira/Linear, documentation, testing, monitoring). - Build a culture of urgency, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Coordinate across engineering, research, product, and founders—ensure alignment and speed. - Prepare weekly demo-ready builds for internal and external stakeholders. - Prepare, lead, and support customer-facing meetings (government, regulators, industry partners). - Translate customer needs into actionable engineering tasks and sprint goals. - Ensure the team delivers demo-ready builds and reliable prototypes for external reviews. - Manage expectations, provide updates, and ensure high standards in all customer interactions. - Act as the bridge between technical teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity, alignment, and trust. - Translate the core CerVox principles into actionable engineering tasks. - Ensure systems are productionised with real users and real data. - Set and enforce quality standards for shipping reliable AI/ML-based systems. - Conduct weekly 1:1s with engineers. - Hold team members accountable to deadlines and quality. - Identify procrastination, blockers, or low standards—and intervene early and decisively. - Foster a culture of high trust, high transparency, and high performance.
