Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a System Integration Engineer on complex system or platform migrations.
- Experience working within a UK police force or policing environment.
- Hands-on experience integrating NicheRMS or a similar police Records Management System (RMS).
- Strong background in system integration, including APIs, middleware, and data exchange.
- Experience integrating legacy systems within highly governed environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Direct experience working on NicheRMS integration programmes (desirable).
- Knowledge of police data standards, information management, and governance frameworks (desirable).
- Experience on large public-sector, criminal justice, or blue-light transformation programmes (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support system integrations between NicheRMS and legacy or adjacent policing systems.
- Develop and maintain integration interfaces, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Support data flows, message transformation, and reconciliation across integrated systems.
- Collaborate with data migration, DBA, and architecture teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support defect resolution across test and live environments.
- Ensure integrations meet security, performance, and resilience requirements.
- Produce and maintain integration documentation, interface specifications, and test evidence.
- Support integration testing, cutover activities, and post-implementation support.
Description
We are seeking an experienced System Integration Engineer to join our team, focusing on a major records management system migration programme. You will play a key role in ensuring the integration of legacy and surrounding policing systems with NicheRMS, while working closely with stakeholders, technical architects, and suppliers. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to significant improvements in policing information management while being part of a dedicated team committed to high standards of interoperability and compliance.
