Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in PERL is essential
- Proficiency in SQL and C#
- Experience with data visualization is highly desirable
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience in data modelling, metadata management, data synthesis
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
- Proven analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Code technical publication stylesheets using PERL language
- Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company information
- Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality
- Analyze, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data
- Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions
- Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements
- Optimize new and current database systems
- Define security and backup procedures
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess shareholder needs and goals
- Provide operational support for Management Information Systems
Description
We are a world-class defence organization currently looking to recruit a remote PERL Software Engineer subcontractor for an initial 6-month contract. This role offers a competitive rate of £77 - £84 per hour and is designed for remote work, requiring just one visit to our Stevenage site per month. As part of our software department, you will work collaboratively in a supportive team environment, engaging in various software development projects and contributing to our technical publications.
