Requirements
Must:
- Ability to use judgment based on analysis of factual information to derive positive results
- Ability to prioritize multiple complex issues
- Knowledge of supporting functions (ILS, GFE, ITAR, Configuration Management, Commercial, Engineering)
- Knowledge and experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing integration
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment relevant to MoD codification processes
- Background in MOD NATO qualifications (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Support projects in the NATO Stock Number (NSN) codification process
- Codify assemblies and components in accordance with MoD process standards (SSCP47, JSP886 Vol 2 CH 4, DEFCON 117)
- Coordinate and manage NSN codification configuration with SAP part numbers and technical information
- Act as focal point of contact to the MoD for NSN codification
- Provide codification support change process
- Support NATO codification using the Codification Support Information System (CSIS)
- Utilize Matrix/PLM database for engineering and item configuration
- Use the MCL Unitex database to check for existing NATO Stock Numbers
Description
We are a world-class defence organization based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, looking to recruit a Codification Engineer subcontractor for an initial 12-month contract. This role is a hybrid position, requiring 1-2 days in the office and allowing remote work for the rest of the week. We offer a competitive rate of £45 per hour, with an overtime rate for hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week.
