Requirements
Must:
- Strong background working in the UK Public Sector Procurement marketplace
- Strong understanding of the ICT category with experience in various routes to market to procure ICT goods and services
- Completed the Procurement Act 23 training and a strong understanding of previous and wider Regulations impacting Public Sector Procurement
- Experience managing a small team is highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Line manage 2 individuals within the ICT category team
- Oversee end-to-end processes for procurement activities ensuring value for money and compliance with the new Procurement Act
- Support the production of compliant category plans, sourcing plans, and contract awards
- Manage ongoing supplier performance and risk management
- Develop market analysis and multi-year category plans in line with the teams transformation plan
- Promote the use of procurement data analytics and MI
- Engage proactively and reliably with stakeholders to address actions and issues promptly and meet performance targets
Description
We are Cedar, supporting a Public Sector client based in Central London, offering a permanent job opportunity for a Category Lead in their ICT category. This role comes with a competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £72,500 per annum, along with excellent benefits. Operating on a hybrid working basis, you will be expected to be on-site 2 days a week. You will report to the Head of Procurement and play a critical role in driving our procurement strategy within the ICT category.
