Must:
We are looking for a candidate who possesses demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator or Software Developer or ideally both. You should have expert knowledge of Cloud Software Security, focusing specifically on Microsoft Azure, not Networking or Infrastructure. Relevant software security certifications such as CISSP, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) are essential. A passion for DevSecOps is crucial, along with knowledge of tools like Terraform, Bicep, SonarCloud, Wiz, and other security products like Trivy. You should have a strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices, along with the ability to rapidly conduct risk assessments and threat modeling. Furthermore, experience with Azure Security Monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM, is necessary. Excellent communication skills are also required to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful outcomes throughout product delivery and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be stepping into a hands-on leadership position, where your main responsibilities will include working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, to ensure the integration of security into their daily work. You will be expected to communicate effectively with various functions, fostering trust and collaboration while guiding the development of security processes. As someone who has progressed from a development background into a Software Security/Cloud Security Engineer, you will help drive a modern security approach within the company, focusing on automation, streamlining processes, and shifting left without compromising on quality and security. You will also have opportunities to grow both personally and as part of a team as our company matures.

While we mainly operate remotely, we do expect our team members to come into the office around twice a week, based in Central London.
