Requirements
Must:
- Microsoft tech stack development experience with a focus on software security.
- Heavy .NET skills complemented by a software security-related certification such as CISSP, CEH, or CSSLP.
- Demonstrable experience as a systems administrator or software developer, or a blend of both.
- Expert knowledge in cloud software security (not networking or infrastructure).
- A passion for software security/DevSecOps with familiarity in tools such as Terraform, Bicep, SonarCloud, Wiz, and other security products like Trivy.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices.
- Ability to conduct rapid risk assessments and threat modeling.
- Proficiency in Azure security monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful outcomes throughout the product delivery and ongoing support phases.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be seeking an individual who will lead the software security function within our fast-growing and exciting company. You will primarily work remotely, with the expectation to come into the office approximately twice a week. Your background should ideally be in software development, allowing you to comfortably engage with developers and foster their trust. You will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams, necessitating strong communication skills to collaborate effectively. This is a "hands-on" lead role, perfect for someone with a consultancy background who possesses the appropriate hands-on skills.
Your mission will be to instill a modern security approach across teams, helping them integrate security into their daily work while continuously seeking opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve processes without compromising quality or overall security.
