Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator or Software Developer, or both
- Expert knowledge of Cloud Software Security (not Networking or Infrastructure)
- Software Security-related certification such as CISSP, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- Passion for DevSecOps and knowledge of tools like Terraform, Bicep, SonarCloud, Wiz, and other security products like Trivy
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure
- A strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
- Ability to perform Rapid Risk Assessments and Threat Modeling
- Proficiency in Azure Security Monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM
- Excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful outcomes during product delivery and ongoing support
Responsibilities
- Lead on software security initiatives, working with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate closely with developers to integrate security into the development process
- Foster a security-conscious culture within the team and organization
- Automate, streamline, and implement security practices without compromising quality
- Oversee the development of security functions and processes as the company matures
- Engage in hands-on technical work while mentoring team members
Description
We are a fast-growing and exciting company based in Central London, but this role is primarily remote, with the expectation to come into the office approximately twice a week. We are looking for a Microsoft Azure Lead Software Security Engineer with a strong development background. We seek someone who has transitioned into Software Security or Cloud Security and possesses strong Azure skills. Instead of a typical IT Operations, Network Security, or Security Infrastructure background, we want you to come from a Development background, as you will be working closely with developers and need to communicate effectively with them. This lead role comes with the opportunity for personal and team growth as our company continues to expand.
