User Researcher - Telford

- Extensive knowledge and proven experience in Human Factors and User Centred Design - Experience in planning research, creating research plans, and recruiting inclusive user samples - Familiarity with managing, executing, and analyzing human-focused research methods such as usability testing, interviews, and surveys - Ability to select the appropriate method for context - Competence in reviewing analytical data to identify user behaviors and areas of concern - Strong skills in identifying user needs and effectively communicating these to decision-makers - Ability to advocate for users, including those with accessibility requirements or barriers - Experience in mentoring junior User Researchers and line managing others - Experience in developing design personas and conducting research in government contexts - Familiarity with GDS assurance events and working in agile environments - Excellent collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams - Recognized expertise across UX and leading research initiatives - Capability to respond to escalations and provide support with stakeholder management - Contribution to service assessment sessions when required Desirable: - Expertise in leading user research projects and activities - Experience in leading design sessions and integrating diverse perspectives - Understanding of the strategic context of work and its alignment with broader project goals - Experience in working across various sectors and consultancy - Multi-disciplinary design skill set Qualifications: - User research related degree or equivalent experience - Relevant professional certifications or equivalent experience
