Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake)
- Proficiency in Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Data Lake)
- Ability to contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform)
- Strong scripting and programming skills in Python (advantageous)
- Good understanding of DevOps and automation concepts
- Solid knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance principles
- Proven capability in data engineering within an agile development methodology (preferably SAFe)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with data engineering trends
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT or a technical/scientific subject
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in Azure cloud and Databricks solutions
- Interpret outcomes and user stories to create technical solutions
- Lead solution design for Finance and Enterprise data products
- Collaborate with Data Analysts on detailed data discovery and requirements refinement
- Oversee logical and physical data modelling for Finance and Enterprise products
- Implement and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows in Databricks
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for data applications using Azure DevOps
- Apply security and compliance standards for Azure and Databricks solutions
- Support monitoring, logging, and cost optimisation for data products
- Foster the development of DevOps practices within the team
- Lead Product Increment planning to break down solutions into Features and Epics
