Must:
- Solid experience supporting networks in a live environment
- Proficiency with Fortinet firewalls and Cisco routing and switching
- Experience with VPNs and core networking protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot methodically and resolve issues under pressure
- Strong communication skills to work with technical teams
- Experience in telecoms, defence, or other regulated industries (helpful but not essential)
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and improve routed and switched networks
- Work closely with firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity
- Troubleshoot complex issues requiring thought and methodical approaches
- Act as an escalation point for incidents and complex problems
- Involve in network changes, improvements, and occasional build or commissioning activities
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota as needed
