Requirements
Must:
- Solid background in 2nd line network support
- Experience in an MSP environment
- Familiarity with LAN, WLAN, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with performance troubleshooting, firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls is useful
- Exposure to vendors such as Juniper, Ruckus, or Cisco is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills and clear communication
- Ability to take ownership of issues until resolution
- Certifications like CCNA or vendor-specific qualifications are a bonus
Responsibilities
- Maintain reliable operation of customer networks
- Resolve complex network issues as they arise
- Take ownership of incidents from start to finish
- Methodically troubleshoot networking problems
- Keep customers informed during the resolution process
- Conduct regular health checks and audits across the customer estate
- Spot potential issues early to enhance service quality
- Manage multiple tickets efficiently in a busy environment
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota
Description
