Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in Incident/Problem resolution and root cause analysis
- Experience in problem resolution via coding and scripting
- Familiarity with ad-hoc reporting and data management
- Proven experience in an IT environment, preferably in an Ops environment
- Experience leading a technical team
- Experience in system software build and release, including automation of manual processes
- Skills in setting up performance monitoring, alerting, and tuning for web services and APIs
- Ability to coach and support colleagues in non-functional requirements
- Excellent customer focus and communication skills
- Demonstrable technical experience in Unix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of DevOps and associated technologies
- Familiarity with Continuous Delivery methods and agile scrum
- Experience in supporting cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in database querying
- Coding skills in AWS, Java, Terraform, Concourse, Ansible, Docker, JSON, SQL, GIT, Tibco iProcess, and Doc1 (or similar technologies)
Responsibilities
- Lead the release, maintenance, upgrades, automation, and service improvements
- Resolve ServiceNow incident issues and identify root causes of problems
- Contribute to the development of projects that enhance digital services for customers
- Engage in the transformation of services and innovative work practices
- Participate in a significant transformation project aligning services with new powers under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill
- Support the recently migrated AWS cloud estate
- Develop management skills and coaching capabilities
- Mentor and support other IT professionals
- Network and engage with stakeholders to drive improvements
- Participate in the on-call rota providing 24/7/365 cover as needed
