Must:
We are looking for candidates with a passion for high-quality, well-crafted code, and associated tooling. You should be keen to learn and develop using Java, JavaScript, Spring / Spring Boot, Node.js, AWS, Docker, REST APIs, or have some experience in these technologies. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need to explain complex technical issues to individuals without a technical background. We value excellent team players who can support the wider team and demonstrate problem-solving and logical thinking abilities. A STEM degree with a programming element is required, and candidates must be able to provide evidence of qualifications and any predicted grades before the assessment center.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Software Developer, you will be integral to our software team, developing software in approved languages and frameworks such as Java, JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js, and Spring / Spring Boot. You will write unit tests and documentation, learn about code review, independent testing, and how to deploy software into a production environment. You will follow the software development process, including coding standards, use of Scrum, and automated security checks (SonarQube). Your day-to-day responsibilities will include participating in Scrum stand-up sessions, resolving outstanding issues, learning about Information Security, and collaborating with your team.
