Requirements
Must:
- Significant experience in a formal technical support environment
- Experience of firstline support in a formal Helpdesk environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with computer users to identify and fix problems
- Understanding of IT support issues in a busy corporate environment
- Familiarity with the role of frontline support and Helpdesk in an IT environment
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Councils central computer systems, applications, phones, and communication networks operate efficiently and securely
- Provide support and advice to users of the IT systems, networks, and applications
- Address IT support issues and communicate with users to resolve problems
- Maintain compliance with current installation standards
Description
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Stornoway. This permanent position is full-time with a salary range of £35,291 to £37,127 per annum, which includes a Distant Islands Allowance. Our ideal candidate will ensure that our IT systems, applications, and networks are running effectively and securely while providing invaluable support and assistance to users.
