Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of analysis experience in areas such as business systems, quality assurance, architecture or web development
- Experience in product development, SDLC, and Agile methodologies and practices
- Prior experience in supporting and implementing technology-based projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, external customers, and vendors
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, explanatory, and influencing skills
- A degree in information systems, computer science, or similar (relevant experience may substitute)
- Industry experience in Financial Markets (Futures, Options, Cash, OTC, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge of financial products, electronic trading, order management, market data, clearing, or post-trade processing
Highly beneficial knowledge includes:
- APIs, Unix command line, virtual machines, cloud computing experience/exposure
- Relational databases, NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with messaging middleware (e.g., Kafka, Tibco FTL)
- RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, ProtoBuf
- Experience with tools like JIRA, FIGMA, Confluence, Splunk
Responsibilities
- Provide technical analysis necessary to drive the evolution and growth of CMEs core trade execution and post-trade systems
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Development, Testing and Architecture stakeholders to create solutions that meet functional business needs
- Define API capabilities and specify contracts (endpoints, methods, payloads, etc.)
- Collaborate on front end wireframes, prototypes, and error/validation messaging
- Support requirements elicitation, discovery, prototyping, and technical business analysis
- Perform project analysis work, including detailed requirement build-out and user story analysis
- Conduct impact analysis, scenario creation, test distillation, functional design, and logical design
- Define and design detailed technical artifacts like messaging protocols and data specifications
- Discover, define, and design application behaviors, logic, data modeling, and component mappings
- Contribute to the product vision and impact assessment for new projects and enhancements
- Manage and contribute to a knowledge base
