Requirements
Must:
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for complex technical scenarios
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse technical and business teams
- Foundational knowledge of distributed systems and their unique failure modes
- Proficient in languages like Python, Bash, or equivalent for automation and process improvement
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced trading environment
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) (nice to have)
- Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts (HTTP, TCP/UDP/IP) (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Secure the stability and performance of our market systems
- Collaborate with SREs, Systems Engineers, and Product teams to diagnose, maintain, and optimize core markets technology platforms
- Enhance observability by refining metrics, alerting, and logging (Splunk, Grafana)
- Drive incident response and on-call rotation, resolving escalated issues across distributed computing architectures
- Lead the delivery of moderately complex incidents, problems, and changes
- Present technical solutions and approaches for assigned work streams
- Support the migration of market applications and infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Automate operational tasks and system provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
