Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience (typically 5-7 years) in a progressive security operations or defense engineering role
- Demonstrated experience in formal team leadership, mentorship, or technical management capacity
- Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse technical teams
- Strong technical expertise in Linux and Windows operating system security and hardening best practices
- Solid understanding of networking and security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
- Expert knowledge of security defense principles and practical expertise with enterprise security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR)
- Experience supporting Cloud Security Operations (GCP/AWS/Azure) is highly desirable
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field
- Relevant advanced industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or advanced GIAC certifications are preferred
- Experience with security technologies including Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), SIEM, DLP, WAF, and others
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical leader for our weekend operational defense posture
- Ensure seamless execution of security operations across our distributed teams
- Act as the operational escalation contact during incidents involving Cyber Defense Applications
- Direct and coordinate global response efforts and ensure clear communication across shifts
- Assume accountability for the execution and governance of security-related tasks during disaster recovery exercises
- Serve as the authorized escalation point for weekly Change Status meetings
- Oversee operational health, configuration, and maintenance lifecycle of security tools
- Mentor and develop the two-person teams across different regions
- Identify opportunities for automation and enhance security control processes
- Conduct periodic quality reviews and audits of operational documentation
