Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced, enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience)
- In-depth support experience of LAN & WAN technologies: R/S: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, Layer 2 architectures
- Exposure to firewalls and load balancing with an understanding of security posture: Firewalling, ACLs, industry best practices, Internet architectures
- Familiarity with load balancing technologies like F5 LB, iRules, persistence, etc.
- Understanding of VPN technologies: IPSec and SSL
- Knowledge of wireless technologies
- Experience or understanding of ISO and ITIL standards
- Experience supporting or working with cloud technologies
- Enterprise R&S certification (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) - Desired
- Enterprise Firewall Certification (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.) - Desired
- Enterprise Wireless Certification (Aruba, Meraki, etc.) - Desired
- Cloud Certification - GCP (Preferable) / AWS / Azure - Desired
- Toolset management experience (Solarwinds, or similar)
- WCA (Wireshark Certified) or experience with hardware-based packet capture systems - Desired
- Understanding of multicast protocols: PIM-SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP - Desired
Responsibilities
- Act as first responders, helping to organize and control incident response
- Monitor and manage our platforms daily to ensure internal SLAs, operational KPIs, and quality standards are met
- Handle complex technical support issues from start to conclusion in a multi-vendor, multi-appliance infrastructure
- Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests
- Engage in day-to-day technical operations activities, including network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, and infrastructure and firmware updates
- Maintain a positive attitude and a high level of customer service at all times
- Contribute to the overall development of operational systems and processes
- Maintain accurate troubleshooting records through industry standard ticketing systems
- Write technical SOPs and other documentation
