Requirements
Must:
- Advanced CCNA or CCNP level certification
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced, enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience)
- In-depth support experience of LAN & WAN technologies: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, Layer 2 architectures
- Exposure to firewalls and load balancing with an understanding of security postures, firewalling, ACLs, and best practices
- Experience with F5 load balancers, iRules, persistence
- Knowledge of VPN technologies: IPSec and SSL
- Understanding of Wireless technologies
- Experience with ISO and ITIL standards
- Familiarity with cloud technologies
- Enterprise R&S certification, Firewall certification, Wireless certification, and Cloud certification (GCP, AWS, Azure) are desirable
- Toolset management experience (e.g., Solarwinds)
- WCA certification or experience with hardware-based packet capture systems
- Knowledge of Multicast technologies: PIM-SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP
Responsibilities
- Act as first responders, helping to organize and control incident response
- Monitor and manage our platforms to ensure internal SLAs, operational KPIs, and quality standards are met
- Handle complex technical support issues and support network faults to conclusion in a multi-vendor, multi-appliance infrastructure
- Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests
- Conduct day-to-day technical operations activities including network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, and infrastructure and firmware updates
- Maintain a positive attitude and a high level of customer service at all times
- Contribute to the overall development of the operational systems and processes
- Maintain accurate troubleshooting records through industry-standard ticketing systems
- Write technical SOPs and other documentation
