Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced, enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience)
- In-depth support experience of LAN & WAN technologies: R/S: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, Layer 2 architectures
- Exposure to firewalls and load balancing with an understanding of: Security Posture: Firewalling, ACLs, industry best practice, Internet architectures
- Load Balancing: F5 LB, iRules, persistence, etc.
- VPN: IPSec and SSL
- Understanding of Wireless technologies
- Understanding/experience with ISO and ITIL standards
- Experience Supporting or Working with Cloud Technologies
- Enterprise R&S certification (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) - desirable
- Enterprise Firewall Certification (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.) - desirable
- Enterprise Wireless Certification (Aruba, Meraki, etc.) - desirable
- Cloud Certification - GCP (Preferable) / AWS / Azure Certification - desirable
- Toolset Management experience (Solarwinds, or similar) - desirable
- WCA (Wireshark Certified) - or experience with hardware-based packet capture systems - desirable
- Multicast: PIM-SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP - desirable
Responsibilities
- Act as first responders, helping to organize and control incident response
- Day-to-day monitoring and management of our platforms to ensure that internal SLAs, operational KPIs and quality standards are met
- Handle complex technical support issues
- Support network faults to conclusion in a multi-vendor, multi-appliance infrastructure
- Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests
- Perform day-to-day Technical Operations activities, including network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, and infrastructure and firmware updates
- Maintain a positive attitude and a high level of customer service at all times
- Contribute to the overall development of operational systems and processes
- Maintain accurate troubleshooting records through industry-standard ticketing systems
- Write technical SOPs and other documentation
