Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates with a demonstrable understanding of best practices in software engineering.
- Good communication skills are essential to effectively communicate processes and progress to stakeholders, as well as to facilitate internal team discussions.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Java or JavaScript/TypeScript) is required, along with a willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
- Candidates should have experience or familiarity with core platform frameworks and libraries such as Spring Boot, ReactJS, React Native, and Docker.
- Familiarity with a Linux environment is preferred.
- I want someone who enjoys participating in the full lifecycle of software products—from idea and design, through to implementation, and operational considerations.
- I value individuals who can write clean code, take pride in their work, and prioritize simplicity, testing, and productivity, always focusing on user experience and security.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a hands-on technologist, spending a significant amount of your time in code across all parts of the Atom5 platform.
- You will work in an agile manner, developing features according to the sprint priority plan.
- Collaboration is key; you will work as part of a team, sharing and reviewing ideas, while mentoring and guiding team members through technology architecture and implementation details.
- It's important to stay updated with the evolving industry, embracing new languages, frameworks, containers, and cloud technologies. I expect you to be proactive in learning new skills and concepts.
- I encourage curiosity and exploration of the tools and libraries you use to gain a deeper understanding of their inner workings.

This role is based at our client’s site in Wrexham, and follows a hybrid working model. It is essential that you hold the entitlement to work in the UK.
