Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, I will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions that meet client needs while ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. I will collaborate closely with business units to translate their requirements into actionable insights and lead initiatives for continuous improvement. My key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing scalable ETL pipelines for data ingestion, cleansing, and curation.
- Developing and managing unified data ecosystems, including warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses.
- Creating and maintaining relational and non-relational data models to support diverse analytical needs.
- Supporting data visualization efforts with tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Establishing and enforcing best practices for data governance, including cataloging, lineage tracking, and quality control.
- Implementing security protocols to comply with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable data solutions.
- Mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies, optimizing workflows, and advocating best practices in data engineering.
