Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11
- Experience with Microsoft Surface Pro hardware and software
- Some Active Directory (AD) experience (adding object groups)
- Troubleshooting knowledge for devices and applications
- Familiarity with Windows Administration tasks, including HDD cleanup
- Some knowledge of SCCM task sequencing is desirable
- SC Clearance is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Provide tech refresh services for approximately 5000 MS Surface Pro devices running Windows 11
- Conduct day-to-day activities including hardware and software refreshes of Microsoft Surface Pro devices
- Use the Booking Tool (ServiceNow) to confirm user appointments and upgrade preferences
- Unlock the BIOS Boot configuration lock setting on MS Surface devices
- Perform a system health check, including checking disk space and system errors
- Clean up disk space where possible and disable OneDrive sync if needed
- Determine if the device is capable of being upgraded to Windows 11 and perform upgrades accordingly
- Rebuild or replace devices as necessary, applying new Windows 11 builds
- Install applications and peripherals and add devices to relevant AD groups
- Ensure all Windows and Office updates are applied where applicable
- Update user records and inventory with device information
- Test both Ozone and 4G Wi-Fi connectivity
Description
We are looking to onboard four Windows 11 Infrastructure Refresh Engineers for an initial 6-month contract, to work onsite near Reading. The rate for this role ranges from £250 to £270 per day and is classified as inside IR35. Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and excellent written and verbal communication are essential for this position.
