Requirements
Must:
- SC security clearance is required for this role.
- Previous experience with manual testing (systems, APIs, and applications).
- Proficiency in programming languages: JavaScript and Python.
- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Jenkins, Jira, and Splunk.
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, JWT, etc.).
- Experience working in the healthcare sector is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify security gaps across systems and processes.
- Create and apply risk models.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cyber security test strategy.
- Understand Azure security risks, particularly those related to Azure Storage.
- Apply knowledge of immutable backups and secure data retention strategies.
- Engage in disaster recovery planning, including conducting full restore testing.
- Manage and test multi-factor authentication (MFA) setups.
- Conduct vulnerability management, including scanning, prioritization, and remediation validation.
- Design and interpret security dashboards for monitoring and reporting purposes.
- Maintain awareness of system throttling and its security implications.
- Upskill team members to cover basic Cybersecurity testing.
Description
We are seeking a tester to join our client's leading IT systems integrator, which operates in the UK public sector. You will be part of the current test team, supporting CIS1, CIS2, and DSS initiatives. This role also involves contributing to the Cyber resilience efforts within Identity and Access Management (IAM). The position is hybrid, requiring you to be in the Leeds office two days per week, with a contract duration of over 10 months at a rate of £400 per day.
