Must:
We are looking for candidates who have proven experience working in a collaborative Agile environment, specifically in test automation for data and analytics platforms, ideally including SAS Viya 4. You should be skilled in selecting appropriate tools for both business and technical needs and capable of setting the strategy for both UI and System Integration-based automation. A solid understanding of REST APIs and the ability to test API endpoints is essential. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell is required, along with experience in CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git, Jenkins, or GitLab. Additionally, familiarity with data management and profiling, as well as strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are key.
Responsibilities
As part of our Agile team, you will participate in ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and reporting. We need you to utilize your strong stakeholder management and communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers, DevOps engineers, and Business Analysts, ensuring our test coverage aligns with business requirements and technical specifications. You will be responsible for implementing appropriate automation tooling to meet our business and technical needs. You'll design and implement automation test strategies and plans for SAS Viya 4 applications, focusing on UI-based Visual Analytics and Intelligent Decisioning, as well as integration testing of data pipelines. Your role will also involve developing and maintaining test scripts using automation frameworks like Selenium, PyTest, or JUnit, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will confirm the test data strategy, maintain and evolve the test automation suite for regression, performance, and integration testing, and support the integration of test automation into Git-based CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in test environments, including SAS Viya containerized deployments, will be part of your responsibilities. You will contribute to test data management and environment provisioning strategies, ensure proper defect management, and clearly articulate results and progress to relevant stakeholders.
Description
This is an exciting opportunity for three Test Automation Specialists on an initial 6-month contract, offering a competitive daily rate between £470 to £483 (Inside IR35).
