Requirements
Must:
- BEng/BSc and/or masters degree in an appropriate engineering, computer science, information systems or related subject.
- Knowledge of Sensor and Communication systems.
- Software engineering experience from R&D concept through to the full product development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with modern software architecture practices.
- Experience with scientific application/DSP, including algorithm implementation.
- Capability in multiple languages and switching between languages rapidly, e.g., C++/C#/Python.
- Comfortable with modern agile development practices, e.g., Scrum/Kanban.
- Proficient with modern software tooling, e.g., Gitlab, Git, VS Code.
- Experience in modern UI design (ideally).
- Embedded software development experience (cross-compiling, deployment) (ideally).
- Knowledge of Linux OS and tools, kernel drivers (ideally).
- Experience with DevOps (Gitlab CI/CD scripting, pipelines, Docker) (ideally).
- Team Leadership or Line Management experience (ideally).
Responsibilities
- Detailed design of components of the product software.
- Implementation and testing of software as part of an agile software team.
- Gaining understanding of existing system products and future development agendas.
- Flexibility in tasking within the agile software team based on expertise, focusing on either Modern UI design and implementation or Embedded software development as needed.

We require candidates to be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance, with the expectation that they are British Citizens who have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
