Requirements
Must:
- DV Clearance required.
- Experience with VxRail hardware and configurations.
- Proficiency in setting up Dell access switches and establishing network core connectivity.
- Knowledge of VLAN segmentation and IP address planning/allocation.
- Familiarity with cabling and power extension to racks, as well as shared storage configuration.
- Experience with vSphere, specifically targeting vSphere 8.0 and ESXi 7.0.
- Capability to connect to existing vCenter and implement Veeam for backups and restores.
- Understanding of best-practice firewall and network rules.
- Skills in preparing backup and restoration plans, along with disaster recovery procedures.
Responsibilities
- Configure and ensure VxRail hardware is operational.
- Rack, power, network, and thoroughly document VxRail setup.
- Install and configure Dell access switch(es).
- Establish logical VLAN segmentation and manage IP address planning and allocation.
- Perform cabling and power extension to racks and configure shared storage.
- Set up vSphere, aiming for version 8.0, while also accommodating ESXi 7.0.
- Connect to existing vCenter instances and implement Veeam for efficient backup and restoration.
- Define and enforce best-practice firewall and networking rules.
- Develop effective backup and restoration plans, along with disaster recovery strategies.
