Requirements
Must:
- Strong Java development skills
- Python experience also beneficial
- Familiarity with identity and access management tooling, including PingDS and PingIDM
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud infrastructure experience across AWS and/or Azure; Terraform for IaC
- CI/CD pipeline experience, ideally Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
- Working knowledge of HAProxy, PostgreSQL, and/or Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Gatling (Scala), Karate, or Playwright is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Resolve high-priority incidents
- Implement new features aligned to the product roadmap
- Reduce technical debt
- Drive improvements to DevOps processes
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads in an agile delivery environment
Description
We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our team based in Leeds, offering an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. Our platform is critical to national infrastructure, and we maintain it to a high service level. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic agile environment, contributing to key projects while enjoying a competitive rate of up to £500/day.
