Requirements
Must:
- Proven track record of data projects and teams.
- Certifications in Agile/Scrum, DevOps, or relevant data technologies are a plus.
- Strong expertise in ETL tools: Pentaho and Talend.
- Experience with data virtualization using Denodo.
- Proficiency in SAS 9.4 (DI), SAS Viya 3.x (SAS Studio, VA, VI).
- Good understanding of Oracle (preferred).
- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for the design, development, and deployment of data integration and transformation solutions using Pentaho, Denodo, Talend, and SAS.
- I will architect and implement scalable data pipelines and services that support business intelligence and analytics platforms.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I will gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver robust data solutions.
- I will champion Agile and Scrum methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of sprints and continuous improvement.
- Driving DevOps practices for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment of data services is part of my role.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, I aim to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- I will ensure that data quality, governance, and security standards are upheld across all solutions.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex data issues and performance bottlenecks will also be my responsibility.
Description
- This position offers a day rate of £515 per day inside IR35 and requires SC clearance. - The duration is 6 months, and the job is based in Telford with a hybrid work model (2 days per week in the office).
