Requirements
Must:
- I require SC Clearance and a willingness to work onsite in Barrow in Furness, full-time (5 days a week).
- Proficiency in Cisco Networking (Routing/Switching).
- Experience in Data Centre Networking.
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI, Firewalls (Palo Alto / Cisco).
- Familiarity with Authentication protocols (802.1x / Cisco ISE / AD).
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to input into High-Level Designs and create Low-Level Designs from approved High-Level Designs.
- You will configure core infrastructure components, such as Data Centre Fabric, Access/Distribution Switches, routers, WAN, firewalls, load balancers, Authentication servers, Wifi controllers, and management tooling.
- Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks will also be part of your role.
- You will conduct testing according to predetermined plans and analyze results.
- I need you to plan and survey cross/site distribution areas for Fibre, checking for cabling, power, and space, ensuring photographs are taken.
- You'll be responsible for installing new SDA switches in preparation for out-of-hours work, installation, take-on, and testing of new equipment, alongside the removal of old switches.
Description
This is an urgent requirement for a 2-3 month initial contract, with a competitive rate of up to £570 per day plus £100 per day for expenses. The working hours may involve a rotational shift pattern: a 16:30 - 23:30 evening shift for two weeks, followed by two weeks of a standard 7.5 hour day shift.
