We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong commercial experience in Python, Terraform, and Ansible. You should have a solid understanding of network fundamentals—while you don't need to be a CCIE, you should comprehend areas like Switching, Routing, and IP Address Management (IPAM). Experience with NetBox is also essential. We value autonomy; being a self-starter is a must.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be utilizing your skills to automate network configurations and infrastructure deployments. You will have an immediate impact by alleviating pressure on the current network engineers by taking on complex work packages right away. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting your work and conducting handovers/training sessions with the permanent team to ensure long-term maintainability.

We are partnering with a world-leading technology company in Cambridge seeking a specialist DevOps Engineer to join their core Network Engineering team. This team is currently operating at maximum capacity and needs a reliable individual to manage critical deployments and automate workflows, ultimately freeing up bandwidth for the wider team. The contract length is an initial six months, with a high likelihood of extension. The position offers a hybrid work model, requiring two days onsite and three days remote, with a rate of £500 per day (Inside IR35).
